Questions For Local and Euro Election Candidates

We are putting together a questionnaire to ask candidates for the local and European elections on Friday, 7 June 2024.

Please comment questions you would like to ask and we will create a shortlist of questions for election candidates to see who is most in favour of shooting sports in Ireland.

It's estimated that there could be up to 100k gun owners in Ireland. When it comes to political influence, this is not an insignificant number of people and we could be using our vote to elect people that are not against our way of life. As politicians don't usually state their position on gun ownership in this country, our aim is to find out where they all stand on the issue.

As an example of the type of Yes/No questions we want to ask:

Do you agree with private firearms ownership?
Do you agree with using firearms for target shooting and hunting purposes?
